MP5 Cocking Tube/Front End Strength

I have an MP5A4, not HG, and I was wondering if a strengthened cocking tube would be a good investment. Is the improved tube on HG version that much stronger? Should I go metal? I ask because I currently use a 3 point sling and may get a flashlight front grip. My fear is that all that stress may cause the tube to bend and the inner barrel with it.

Yeah, so to people who had their MP5's for awhile, how do the front ends hold up?

I have an MP5J with foregrip taclite and 3pt sling and I've never noticed a difference in shot consistancy or range when I swap to my normal handguards.

Yeah the stock plastic one is pretty sturdy, and even though I went metal reciever I haven't switched to a metal cocking tube yet. I will be in the near future, though.

I've had my A4 for 5 years now with a surefire and a 3pt sling attached and have had not one problem. If you don't have the money, don't waste it....

Cheers, Brent
