Tokyo Marui G18c Air Nozzle Issue
FIRST OFF:
I'd like to start by saying I REALIZE there is a WE G18c thread covering the same issue and there is a pose starting the 2 reasons why this could happen. However please listen to my story because I don't understand how this issue "just happens." I'm having MAJOR PROBLEMS with my Glock. I'm on my fourth and final air nozzle as of now. First one broke (where the return spring holds it on the side) after ~800 shots. Second one broke instantly after installing it and shooting once. Installed my third one, again after one shot it snapped. I have one left and I'm refraining from installing it because I know its just going to break. I have a PGC Slide installed and the air nozzles I'm using to replace the stock one are Guarder. The part I don't understand is this problem just started happening. The gun cycled fine up until a few weeks ago. Any suggestions? I'm severely stressing over this. Thanks guys.

I experienced this with a TM G18C.
The original nozzle blew out in under 100 rounds after I installed some common upgrade parts including a pgc slide; followed by 2 guarder nozzles in less then 20 shots combined... In the end what I had decided was that part 18C-15 was causing the problem by tripping up 18C-14 not allowing that spring to cycle. 1.) cut 18C-15 down by a small amount ( about 1/3-1/2 of the thinner side that meets the slide. ) 2.) gently and carefully stretch 18C-14 by a similar amount to make up for the lost tension. 3.) on the side of 18C-15 that joins up with 18C-14 sand it down from a cylinder to a cylinder with a hemisphere on top. 4.) lightly grease G18C-14 and 15. Since then I've put 400-500 rounds through it without issue. |
