WE TECH XDM 3.8 Compact Help

Hey guys. Is there a link to a vid showing how to change out the extended barrel on my XDM? I can't stad the god awful silencer it came with and eed to change out the entire long barrel to the original shorter one. I have never replaced a barrel before, just simple field stripping for cleaning etc. Thanks in advance.

Just check Youtube the XD and the Glock break down pretty much the same, so if you find a barrel replacement vid for a Glock it should carry over to your XD.

What are you stuck on? Take out the outer barrel, take out the inner barrel assembly, unscrew the hop unit and take out the inner barrel. Swap hopup rubbers to your shorter inner barrel, reverse the process.

Not stuck really, just never did it, I field strip it for cleaning but never beyod that. I have to remove the barrel from the Hop-Up assembly and that's what has me worried. lol

If you have any question let me know. It's a fairly simple process.

Okay so I managed to do it okay but I noticed that my weapon is missing a part out of the box. I was looking at the manual as I broke it down so I wouldn't miss anything and immediately I noticed that this part circled bellow was missing. Part Number X-25. Now I've fired this weapon already with zero problems so I'm confused. lol

P.S. And no I didn't lose it because I took out every part on by one and was cataloging it with the manual as reference. It simply wasn't there.

Hmm.. that should be an o-ring that hugs against the post for the hop up dial. Did you check behind the dial?

Yes I checked. When I took it a part I unscrewed the two screws and removed the plate slowly. Everything stayed in it's place. Then I removed the Hop-Up wheel and I expected to see that small ring but it was't there. I shrugged it thinking maybe it was just never there. I hadn't done anything since Friday other than take it out and test fired like 3 bb's ad then I put it away until this morning. So it was fired at the store and by me without that ring. *Shrugs*

That's not really an important part. It just keeps tension on the hopup dial so it doesn't unwind. You could replace it with an AEG shim or another small o-ring.
