Reflex sight and BB
Hi guys, I am very exited to join airsoft community.
I am a beginner, looking for advice. I just bought nice G&G MP5. Great looking, with a top mount. I want to add a reflex sight to it. Not expensive, probable 30-60 bucks will be ok. Problem is virtually noone sells airsoft sights. Yes, some sellers claim they do, but by term "airsoft sight" I assume the one which can be actually used for BB skirmish and will not brake after BB hit. I already saw few broken sights and not want to invest money literally speaking in inflatable balloon for the trip to fir forest. There are some protectors available, but it become complicated then. Is it the right size? Mesh ones make field of view dark, and cheap made from distorted plastic. Is there simple acceptable solution? Thanks. |

Get an NC star sight, there cheap and they have a lifetime warranty, so if it gets shot out you get a new one.

Put a kill-flash (sometimes called an ARD or anti reflection device) on an NC Star red dot and you will have a robust and very functional unit.

He said he doesn't want a kill flash cause it darkens the FOV.

Thank you for help, I got 2 sights NC Star at www.paintballgear.ca.
Although I highly doubt NS will honor warranty for BB hit, the price is dirt cheap, I can buy one more if damaged. http://arniesairsoft.co.uk/news2/51775 About shields, this is exactly I was asking, and I wonder why I dont see it in stock everywhere, even bundled with airsoft scopes. Unfortunately the link you sent is just manufacturer press release. I spent 20 minutes, and was not able to find where I can buy those in Canada. |

The funny thing is, it is made here locally but mostly sold by dealers in the USA, Europe and Asia. Last edited by SuperHog; February 9th, 2013 at 13:24.. |

Buy plexiglass from a hardware store and cut out section that is the same size and shape as the lense. You can usually friction fit it into the red dot.

If you buy an Eotech type holosight you can use these: http://www.ventureairsoft.ca/item.ph...868decbfef0ed2

I have been hit plenty of times and never has it been on the sight or scope. I wouldn't really worry about it. Your bigger concern should be damage that you inflict on the scope ie pushing past really dense foilage, slamming up against a wall when you run for cover, etc. Just buy a scope or sight that is mostly metal and you should be fine.
