Did green gas warp my slide...
Hello everyone
So I have noticed my de cocker does not seem to drop the hammer when pulled down ..simple fix I can light press down or even press against something and when I use the de cocker the hammer will drop..but regardless do you think green gas has slightly warped the slide and do you think if I were to get a replacement WE PX4 Slide would that solve the problem and would that be ok to order coming from the US Tokyo Marui PX4 ....This gun is turning into a money pit Has anyone had a Marui and the use of green gas screw it up in some way Thank you Tokyo marui PX4 Shooters design decocker problems - YouTube Last edited by MatthewRyan; February 26th, 2013 at 07:54.. |

That has unfortunately always been a weak point on Maruis (and other plastic slide pistols): often time green gas is too powerful for it and will end up causing damage.
I don't think it warped/deformed the slide (i doubt plastic/abs would deform like that unless it melted), but there may be some damage developing. Or something may be misaligned. Slides aren't a restricted part, but make sure it is the slide and not some other part (unless you plan on getting a complete slide). And beware ordering from Evike if that's where you were looking. The WE is supposed to be a clone of the TM so parts should work.

How much sand CAN you fit in your vagina!?

WE most likely will not fit a Marui anyways. I believe RA-Tech makes a makes a metal slide kit for the Marui PX-4. As for importation, I'm not certain. I know that bringing in frames is usually taboo.

Slides are okay to import its the frame that is restricted.
As for warped i agree its hard to deform the ABS if its not cracked it may be another issue like if you used some lube that has those petrolium isolates (or what ever there called) meaning not pure silicone oil it will "melt" or degrade the plastics. say wd40 or some other crap will kill it prety fast. also for future reference full plastic pistol your better to stick with duster unless a metal upgrade i ssometyhing you alrdy have planned. Good luck! be sure you dont buy a cheap ass slide something high end will justr fit right on something cheap will likely need to be filed sanded and so on to make it fit.

The WE should be a TM clone. You can swap mags in them.

I had no idea. I thought WE usually copied Western Arms and such. It makes sense though, Tokyo Marui makes the only PX-4 worth writing home about.
As for the Marui pistols, as of a couple of years ago they were all set up to run on HFC (duster gas); however, the PX-4 is supposed to be green gas ready. I'm with Hectic and Drake, I think your issue is elsewhere.

Maybe hes a loud talker lol. And i agree lotta the older tm pistols could handle green gas just if you wanted them to last forever duster was the way to go and useually it would be a worn firing pin/ valve knocker from running green.
Are all the screws and such tight it could be something that simple
