CYMA G36c Model Mystery Model
I ordered a CYMA G36c (cm003) model but received a CM011 model
I had done plenty of reading up on the 003 but can't find much (in English anyways) on this 011 model. Is it a newer model? I haven't cracked it open yet but the 003 had metal bushings and stock metal bearing spring guide.. did i get ripped here? |

Later in the thread a couple guys post their thoughts on the construction and quality of the build. Overall the results don't look too bad, though nobody is impressed with the paintjob. From the pictures I'd say it's at least par with my JG G36, which isn't a fantastic AEG by any measure but is reasonable for a budget gun, and certainly upgradable. The bearings in the CM011 are reported to be metal. Cold weather performance appears to be good. Actual firing tests are favourable and range is good. One rather promising thing I saw reported in the thread was that the pins stay in nice and tight, which is one weak spot on my JG. Check the second page of that thread for some internal pics, though most people appear to be avoiding opening the gearbox on account of this gun being offered with a warranty in Poland. Also, the gun sells for about 370PLN over there, which is just under 120CAD. Not bad Hope that helps. I had fun trying to decipher Polish airsoft terminology, it's not every day I get to read in my first language... edit: it's also suggested in the thread that the CM011 replaces the CM003, which may have been discontinued

"He held one already in legs? How do I feel, texture body leaning more to the JG than CM003, is not it?" |

well darn this then.. the website shows the cm003 and i get a different (potentially lesser quality) gun.
If i paid $120 then fine but all in i spent $170 (it's priced the same as the 003) I have no issues with gun upgrades.. but i hate to have to buy some of the items that i assumed i already payed for. |

From my eyes the gearbox at least looks cleaner and nicer than the JG that *I* have, which *may* be the one that is still selling for $180 in Toronto. You could make a stink but you probably won't get the CM003 in return. $170 for a G36 is still dirt cheap. If yours came with a neo motor, even a slow-wound one (which JGs often do), then I'd personally be tempted to call it a day and start shimming and tuning the thing. For all you know, it could be a nice sleeper. It is extremely likely the gearboxes are identical anyway, so we are just talking some body details. A bump from one CYMA G36 to another CYMA G36 is probably not going to upgrade you from ABS to a textured Nylon body. For that sort of thing, you would have to get a CA or ARES... And then you wouldn't have all the extra budget you now have for upgrades. If it were me I'd just roll with it. edit: well, that and kindly let the retailer know you will make a stink on ASC, twitter, facebook, youtube, etc, and hope they compensate you in the form of some free magazines or perhaps a G36-to-M4 magwell adapter.
