M4 upgrades?
Hello everyone
I'm looking to upgrade my gun to help it shoot better and get a higher fps. What's a couple upgrades I can do, external and internal. Also roughly the cost. I have a g&p m4a1 carbine. Full metal AEG Thanks. |

There are a lot of posts on this subject so poke around. #1 question is what FPS do you want?
Indoor CQB: 350fps MAX on .20's Outdoor: 400fps MAX on .20's Outdoor as a Semi-Only AEG in a DMR Role: Usually 450fps MAX You need to decide where you are going to play as most of those numbers I listed are pretty consistent across the spectrum of game organizers. As a rule of thumb FPS improvements are predominently done by spring change however, spring guides, tightbore barrels, spacers, air seal quality will add/subtract some FPS. IMO for a quality gun out of the box which a full metal G&P is all you should do is change to a quality tighbore barrel, add a quality hopup and hop up rubber and get a good quality spring and that is all it should need until it breaks. Do not fixate on the 400fps just get it close to where you need and have fun. I like Modify parts as they are overall good bang for the buck but there are lots of good companies making quality parts and all seem to have their best offerings.

If its a brand new G&P, #1 before you use it, get it properly shimmed
Then hop rubber and barrel |
