M4 Thumbhole Stock?

Before you say to search, I did, and found a thread about one that isn't made anymore which I didn't want to resurrect.

Anywho. I was wondering if there are any thumbhole/sniper style stocks currently available for M4 AEGs. Something like what an L96/SL9 has. Any ideas?

Damn. I've been looking around for hours and all I can find is a few odd pictures of one made by RIGHT or something, which looks terrible and doesn't exist anymore. I'm honestly surprised that there isn't at least one readily available thumbhole stock for M4/16s

first question: why?

There was only one company that made them called right discontinued, but they were Pieces of shit, creaky and flimsy, also very few wanted them as most people found them uncomfortable. even in the RS world you won't find that many.

Your best bet would be to custom make one.
or fly to japan and track one down

Or design one and have a 3d printing company like shapeways print it for you.

I have custom barrel spacers for my kc02 from there

@Ritz - I just think it would look badass/be better for me. I'm not a big fan of the crane stock that's on mine, and even at it's fully extended position it's not quite as long as I'd like it to be, and "sniper" stocks are usually pretty damn long

@Echo - That looks gawd damn amazing. I'm still amazed that no one does this for airsoft

@T-hell - I probably could do that, but it seems to me like the tolerances in airsoft guns are pretty tight, especially when it comes to something that would be housing a motor/bolted to the gearbox

Are there any adjustable stocks that go out maybe 2 inches further than a standard crane stock? Or maybe some sort of extra long buffer tube?

It's not surprising at all that no one does this for airsoft as it is not in demand.

I'd figure there would be at least one out there, though. There has to be at least a few people other than myself who would want it

You do know that the reason why thumbhole stocks were even made in the first place was only to address and circumvent the Assault Weapons Ban of 1994 surrounding pistol grips.

Alright so, the crane stock (which has a pretty long length of pull at fully extended position) is too short, and the sniper style stocks are too long? WHAT?

Are you looking to get the LOOK of the thumbhole stock or is this more about the length of pull?

No, no. I just meant that sniper style stocks are long, not too long. The right amount of long, from my limited experience. And yeah, it's more about the length, looks are a bonus

M16 full stock or a "stubby" full stock (tho the stubby is only about the length of a crane stock on the seccond or third stop)
Or a 416 style E1 stock. They are a crane type stock but are a bit longer due to the butt pad they have

I was looking at 416 stocks, how do the butt pads on those feel? It looks like it'd be a bit odd with the way it's tapered

They are quite comfortable. They fit well into the shoulder and the shape makes it good for going from a rdy position to a firing position. Handy when menuevering in CQB or in the dense bush as you can keep the rifle shouldered and point it up or down to turn corners or work around trees.
Yes i agree it looks sort of odd but it is really functional.
If you catch me at a game you can try it out.
