Madbull RIS2 and gas tube
Hey guys, has anyone successfully mounted a dummy gas tube with a Madbull DD RIS2?
I've got the DD low pro gas block, but just realized there is really nowhere for the gas tube to sit in the RIS, where it would pass through to the receiver. Thanks! |

The hole for a gas tube is nonexistent for most if not all of the Madbull rails so they can't be used with real rifles. I know some people have modified the Daniel Defense light/risII rails so they can use the gas tube normally.
I believe all it requires is drilling a hole but I will let someone who has done this confirm. |

Yes all you have to do is drill out the dimple where the gas tube would go through. It takes 2 seconds just use a drill bit for aluminum and make sure its just a bit larger then the tube.

I thought so, here is a picture of the real rail and nut.
I personally think it is stupid that Madbull does this but at least it is an easy fix for the DD rails. You should see a mess they made of the Troy rails, you would pretty much need to re-mill the inside of the rail. |
