Extending an AEP barrel. What are my options?
Been fiddling with my reacquired VZ61 AEP, and i'm debating whether to extend the barrel into a suppressor to give a slight FPS boost (And for appearance, as well,)
What length of barrel can I safely extend to with an AEP length cylinder? Cant seem to find any material online for such. Thanks! |

I couldn't say exactly for the VZ61 AEP. But for a G18C with a Laylax non-ported cylinder, and with a very good air seal you can go MP7 length (182mm). At least, a PDI Raven 6.01 MP7 length barrel worked in my TM G18C and the FPS increased to 250. I think the VZ61s actually have a slightly longer cylinder that is the same length as MP7s with a piston that has one more tooth than AEP pistol pistons. So if it is the case, and if the cylinder is not ported, a MP7 length barrel should work fine.
