Mosfet with 9.6V NiMh?
So my friends recently gave me a AWS "raptor" mosfet for fixing two of his guns, now it appears a Mosfet are more geared towards lipos which i dont really use. How would a mosfet work with a 9.6V NiMh? Id be more after the fire controls and what not...good idea to use or no?

Works the same way.
It's a battery. Only the voltage changes anything. But to low (for example having your pack empty) might damage the unit, as some MOSFETs enter triode mode when you drop the power too low, and that burns out the FET really fast. When that happens, it's usually making your gun shoot full-auto non-stop even if you don't pull the trigger.

The primary reason for using a mosfet is to increase battery life and reduce trigger arcing, which is good for NiMH as well as LiPo
|
