G&P Crane stock

I am looking forward into buying this. It comes with a 9.6 1700mah battery. I was wondering if the crane stock can fit a 9.6 3300mah battery instead of the 1700mah. I want to make my rifle carbine since i have the full stock so i dont have to do any wiring.

Space in the crane stocks is pretty limited. I think the best you can get is 1700. But then again, why would you need more mah? that's plenty to last you a whole day unless you run on a m130+ spring (430fps+) on full auto.

Only the Prime Crane stock can hold sub-C battery packs.

STAR Stock is better and easier to deal with. I've installed both on team guns, the STAR one is flat out just a better arrangement with less headaches.

I run a 2400 9.6V NiCad in my prime crane stock. They also sell a 3300 9.6V 3300 NiMH battery, but I personally avoid these due to their performance issues in the cold.

Oh yeah, my gun is stock, and I've had no problems in about 2 years due to the large battery.

doh! yeah, forgot about the Star one. :P I only keep the Prime one in my head, because as Groombug mentioned, its finish and construction is better.

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but has anybody tried the G&P Crane Stocks? Any comments on the stock or the batteries that come with them?

I actually have two of these stocks here.

I USE to love the Prime crane stock.

But now... I love the G&P crane stock way much more. It's more realistic, the manufacturing and finish is nicer... overall, I'd say it's a sweet piece on my SPR mk12 mod 1.

ALSO... the battery solution that G&P came up with is much more elegant. As far as I know, it's the only solution out there that lets you COMPLETELY collapse your stock (not that you play it that way, but it matters to some ppl.)
