Lonex Next-Gen M4 Hop-Up Chamber

Sour post - maybe a mod can delete. I just realized it was for the recoil system. BOO.

I think you're getting the "next gen" part mixed up. This hop-up unit has been out for sometime and we brought some in for special order a few months back.

It's for Marui Next-Gen (Shoot & Recoil engine).

It's cool that it got your D hard tho...it's cool man.

ProWin are pretty terrible for R-Hopping, and they are exceptionally bad for ER-Hopping. For a normal flat hop or drop-in bucking, they work incredibly well though. The nub pressure point is too close to the pivot point.

The praise for this unit is all over the internet.

So I bought one.

Paired with a Prometheus purple sleeve and stock Umarex inner barrel it wouldn't feed in my 416, tolerances must have been too tight or something - swapped for a Lonex 50d and all was gravy.

I don't like not having a spring at the front for it to push against the gearbox.

I'd really like to see comparisons with the Prowin and other similar units go up against an r-hop at 400fps (the standard field/game limit.)

Flame on - but im still not sold on the rhop mysticism.

there's no mysticism behind it. properly tuned it can outperform just about everything.

I've actually had great results with the Prowin in a VFC 416 (390fps). Have it paired with the Maple Leaf 60 Bucking and curved nub along with a 363mm Deep Fire 6.03 TB. No hard numbers on range I'm getting with .28s but I can say I'm getting much farther and straighter hits than I was expecting. I realize people have had mixed results with each of these items but they seem to work great together in my 416!

And Rabbit, I did find that the Prowin chamber seems to taper the bucking lips a little more than other chambers. I specifically encountered the exact same issues you did with the Prometheus buckings. However, with the Maple Leaf it seems it be just the right combination!

I have the Maple Leaf 60degree...sheeeeit..I dont trust it tho! That inner mound is just...so different..Why do they include a flat hop curved nub with it? Ive read that it HAS to be used with it for the vest best in results...

Sometimes I hate living in the core of the city..i just wish I had a nice stretch of land/farm land to have some sort of comparison test...

Over the years i've accumulated all sorts of hop up units and buckings & nubs I have drawer full now..

Its a fucking gamble to go to a game now and just HOPE you're going to get that range you were getting before or at least an improvement. I've developed a complex now in airsoft that if my set up isn't performing like I want it to - or did - it just EATS at my brain!

Side note: I've made the jump from a Prometheus purple to a Systema Energy, I almost straight doo doo'd in my pants when I noticed the FPS increase..my previous builds have netted me in and around 390-403fps with an m120 & sorbo set..after the Systema Energy I jumped to 414fps with out the teflon wrap. Consistent as shit too.

I find the Systema Energy's are only marginally softer than a Prommy purple - but the inner mound is wider (more bb contact) which me likey.

I hear ya. I'm in the same boat and I also only get to test my setup on gamedays.

My understanding is that the curved nub helps maintain the curved mound where as a standard nub will press on the highest point of the bucking and possibly negate the curved contact with the BB.

The other wrench, I found, is the barrel. I got lucky that my Deep Fire TB happens to fit the Maple Leaf bucking perfectly. Whereas my brother's Promy Tb doesn't fit the Maple Leaf at all due the the barrel's window size.

I've used the pro win chamber with G&G green buckings (which are suprisingly amazing) and PDI w holds and both have worked great with pretty much any barrel that I've tried.
