TM Strike Warrior Trigger Problem

Hey guys, I have a tm strike warrior and the trigger is acting funny. Everytime the slide blows back I have to pull the trigger twice to fire it. The first time I feel a little click and then the second time it actually fires... Anyone know what the deal is?

I'm not very techy.. so not sure what I could do..

I think the farthest right finger of the
3 finger spring needs to be bent toward the front of the gun putting more pressure on the disconnector.

I had this problem before with my hi capa. For me it was the disconnector. Try assembling your pistol with the beaver tail and safety off. Observe the disconnector.

For me, the first trigger pull would result in a failure to fire, but I noticed that the disconnector would move upwards slightly. The next pull of the trigger would result in the hammer dropping and the gun firing.

What is happening is that there is something interfering with the disconnector's ability to reset.

That first pull of the trigger is pushing the sear back, which in turn allows the disconnector to be pushed upwards by the leaf spring.

In my case, the new sear was slightly oversized. As a result, it was preventing the disconnector from retuning fully upwards.

If my memory serves me right, the trigger stirrup does not directly push the sear back in the hi capa. Rather the small tab on the disconnector transfers the rearward motion of the trigger pull to the sear. Pulling the trigger that first time allows the disconnector to slip back inbetween the sear and trigger stirrup.

I hope this is technically correct, it was a while since I had this problem.

The soultion: I gently filed down the face of the sear, testing and refiling frequently until the disconnector was able to return to battery after every shot.

Notice how the trigger bar does not directly interact with the sear. Rather the it pushes on the disconnector which transfers the rearward movement to trip the sear. After every shot, the small tab must slip back under the sear.
