Modifying the TM M870 gas shotgun
Does anyone here know if the TM M870 gas shotgun has a pump similar to the real version? I'd like to replace it with either a wood one or a fancy Magpul pump. Info on the stock would help as well, since if I go with the wood it will be easy enough to carve out an area for the gas tank and gas tube

The original stock has been sealed and contains all the parts you need for your modify into a new wood stock, that's what I understand. You need to break it and try it see how's inside the original stock could work with your modifications. The one in the market comes with Magpul stock modified, I think they did it this way or they made something similar to fit in.
I was thinking to get the g&p m4 gas stock and Magpul Stock to try out, in case after I tried to modify the Magpul failed and I still could use the g&p one to fix it. That would be so expensive!! My own opinion, it could work but depends on how hard and how much money to spend, time that I have. luck to you.

Many thanks! Any idea about the pump? Magpul sells a very slick tactical pump and I could just combine that with the G&P stock for some tactical shotgun goodness, though real wood would be nice as well.

Seen it done. Taking it apart is not for the faint of heart or light of wallet. Still no official takedown guide and if you break or loose something you'll be bummed out.

Thanks Danke! You know, it was your M870 at the last CQB match in Armstrong that made me fall in love with the thing in the first place :P

It's still running great! Trying to decide on the Angry Gun or G&P stock kit.
