Lipo Battery w/ G&G HBA 14

Can the HBA run on Lipo batteries as opposed to the NiMH ones that come stock? Will it affect the motor/gears/speed? I'm just looking for longer life.

A lipo battery will put more strain on your internals, leading to a much shorter life. People who run Lipo usually do it for the crazy ROF they can achieve with one. Having a compact battery with a lot of juice is nice as well, but the high power output still stands.

Unless you have a MOSFET installed I wouldn't really recomend a Lipo.

I run a 7.4 lipo on my g@g Ebr . Runs perfect

I run a 7.4 on my Ebr long with no issue,(2 years, many rounds). I've run an 11.1 a couple times and even though she ran beautifully I don't want to push my luck so I stick with a 7.4. The gun is amazing but be sure you want to have a VERY front heavy gun if you buy one.

Running a 7.4v lipo won't be that much worse than running a 9.6v NiMH ROF will drop a bit but trigger response is better especially if you get a good quality lipo

A 7.4v 15-20c 1000-1500mah lipo wont really hurt anything. 11.1 will wear out trigger contactsand if AOE, shimming and all that good stuff arent perfect it can and likely will lead to internal problems like stripped gears and pistons. A well.assembled gearbox, good piston and a fet will last a good long time, have great trigger response and high rof.
