G&g gr25 upgrades
Hello, I am new to this site. I was just wondering if you guys could provide me parts to upgrade my G&G GR25. Preferably no more than 450fps with 0.2g and as accurate as possible. THANKS !

well depending on air seal barrel length and cylender volume matching a 130 or 140 spring will get u into the 450fps range. Ive never looked inside a g&g but youll almost definately want to change the piston at that lvl of spring, put a good piston head in for beter compression, shave the seccond tooth off the piston, maybe some of the third one too and add a sorbo pad to correct the aoe. Shim everything well add a fet to eliminate the trigger contacts then run an 11.1 lipo. Thatll help yer trigger response with a heavy spring (also not sure about the g&g motor. Then youll want a good inner barrel and a good hop up rubber and bucking (i use the prometheus smooth rubber and bridge tensioner but the modify flat and rhop are good at lifting heavy bbs too) then run some .30 or heavier bbs thatll give u some good range and accuracy

G&G already come with a tight bore barrel if im not mistaken. And the gearbox is a VER2
Also madbull makes a good mid cap for it holding 140 rather than g&g's whos only holding 50 |

it may come with a tightbore but tight isnt the reason for an inner upgrade, consistancy in bore is (ie its smooth with no imperfections and is a consistant size from hopup to muzzle, unless its designed to have a taper tho i think most if not all aeg barrels are made to be one size start to finnish)

What parts should I buy for it to be able to hold M150 Spring ?

What field do you want to play it to shoot with a M150?
No where in Quebec will let you play with an AEG over 450fps. That is when some place will let you use semi-auto only (with a mechanical lock that makes it impossible to use auto). 99% of the fields will apply the same rule as any other AEG, 400fps MAX. |

yeah yer gettin into 500fps with a 150 spring. Definately wont be able to play with that anywhere. But if u wanted to , basically what i said, and depending on tue quality of the stock gears you may want to upgrade those as well.

the sr25 gearbox is actually a longer version of the V2 gearbox, which means longer piston and cylinder at least. Pretty sure that also means that you need a different type of gear, as the longer piston has more teeth. Just fyi

I plan on buying a SAT VVD so that I can change the FPS according to the game type.
So far this is the build I have in mind Lonex Improved Hop-Up Bucking 70 M150 Lonex Torque-Up Motor Long Lonex Steel Inner Barrel for AEG 509mm Lonex Helical Ultra Torque Gearset Any thoughts ? or better upgrades? |

I plan on using it as a DMR and I can lower the FPS according to the rules.

G&G Sr-25 uses a V2.5, 17t piston (versus the standard 15) and longer mechbox/cylinder. uses a standard M4 hop-up unit.
Because of the extra air volume and long barrel, you don't need a strong spring for high FPS. Again, 100% useless to install a M150 unless you short-stroke your gun, which is VERY pointless in that king of gun. You are better use the softest spring that brings you to your field FPS without going over. Less stress on everything, less noise and more battery life. |
