We Nozzle Modification for NPAS (Solved)
Hey folks,
I keep coming across people talking about having to modify their nozzles in their WE weapons to have the npas work. I was wondering if someone could explain what to do, and if I need to do that with the WE Scar. Pictures work best as all I have been bale to gather is to split the nozzle into its two parts and then cut off some tabs and make vents....not sure what that supposed to look like or anything.... EDIT, thanks goes out to the person how showed my this image, much appreciated!

That's for G36 and M14.
The SCAR now has 2 version of nozzles. The GREY one needs to be modified, but not that way. The BLACK one is fine, nothing to do but install NPAS. The GREY, if you look carefully at the two prongs (shown on your pic on the left), you can see where they modified the mold to extend theses about 1mm. Just cut with a sharp blade/Xacto at the molding line to make it around 1mm total length (exactly like on your left pic). Ideally, when you assemble the nozzle and the NPAS is at max setting, you should just see the rear ring of the NPAS at the rear of the nozzle opening (where the mag interfaces). That will let you get the largest range of adjustment. If you find that your gun shoots "low" with a NPAS and modified nozzle (GREY), it means you will have to use heavier BB and calculate joules, or use a longer inner barrel. That is because regardless of the amount of gaz going through, the BB does not have enough time to accelerate in the inner. |
