Interested in a G36
I'm kinda bored with my G&P m4. I'm thinking about getting a G36, but I don't know much about them. I don't game. I just do a bit of basement shooting. Any recommendations?
Ones that are interesting so far the VFC (not big on the gas though) Maybe the ARES G36C? Or http://www.torontoairsoft.com/UMAREX...CK_p_1516.html Last edited by Glenzee; December 15th, 2014 at 19:32.. Reason: Added another link |

ARES isn't that bad, it's extremely easy to access the gearbox and hopup, and the bolt catch is pretty cool as well. I've fitted a standard V3 gearbox in one before, but the stock one should hold up quite well.

Don't forget G36 come with a new setup of pouches.
double M4 mag or G36 dedicated mag pouch or AK47 mag pouch. but it's interesting when you go to an assault with 2 mag clipped (very fast reload) My beast:

I've wanted a G36 for awhile but the mags keep holding me back...
That said, if you don't mind running AR mags in it (doesn't look right imo), you can grab an adapter and use the mags you run in your G&P. Would let you keep the same setup you use for you M4 and save you from getting new pouches/kit.

everyone wanting a g36 or owning one need to harrass pts to update their molds for the pmag/emag/tmag for the g36... the old magpul mags will fit in m4 pouches and not require m4 magwell mods. Since losing the magpul contract, pts has started making similar magpul styled mags for airsoft again but only for m4.

If you are looking for a G36 then WE G39 G36 RAS Airsoft Gas GBB Gun Rifle is the better gun you can get. Its specifications are Velocity: 390 fps (0.20g BB) / Range 160-180 feet, Magazine Capacity: 30 Rounds, Strongest Recoil Action among all WE GBBRs which make it a perfect gun. I also have the same gun.

IMO Classic Army makes the best AEG G36. There's a few things about it that put it above the competition. The body is excellent, the gas tube assembly is metal (it's plastic in most other G36s). This is important because it supports the inner barrel. The assembly is also a different length depending on the type of G36.. I've seen two other brands of G36s where the gas tube assembly is the G36c length regardless of the model. The CA mechbox is easy to work on, standard V3. Shoots fine out of the box, especially for basement shooting. Will work fine with a 9.6v battery in stock form.
When I get a spare $1k I want to grab a full length WE G39.
