VFC 416 CQB front sling mount... where?

Hey gang.

I'm planing on getting a sling for the upcoming season and I took a look at my VFC 416.

I can see the sling attachments on the butt, but where are they on the front?

I would like to use quick detach points if available, but I think that will require some different attachments on the butt.

Also...Did you guys get a manual with yours. I looked in the box and there wasn't one in mine.

Thanks

most will get something like the magpul asap sling mount that sits on the back of the receivers held on by the buffer tube. This is for a 1 point. If you want a 2 point you will need to get a rail mount loop.

There's a loop for a HK mash hook on the gas block. Otherwise you need to bolt something onto the RAS.

Hmm.. as suspected I have to attach something to the rail

Should I get one for the buffer tube, or just use the one on the end of the butt? (what is the difference except angle)

I am thinking about the magpul ms3 and just getting a clip for the rail.
The ms4 just has the qd attachments, but then I would need to get 2 more attachments, one for the butt and one for the rail.

Does that sound about right?
Or, am I missing something?

P.S what is the hole for at the front of the rail for?

Thanks

Here's a close-up of the sling mounts on either side of the gas block:

If I'm not mistaken the hole in the front bottom of the rail is an attachment point for the grenade launcher?

I never liked the front end position of the gas block sling points. I was using a DD style QD sling point at the rear of the rail and a Magpul ASAP rear plate seemed to work well with a 2 point sling and/or a single point depending on. To each their own though. I'm sure others here have better solutions as well!

There are lots of different sling mounts can be used, see the page below for reference.
QD type is also available for both front and rear.
http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/Sling...ounts-s/63.htm

If you want two points, and you like Magpul, RSA can be used for front point, and ASAP can be used for rear point. (Seals use this setup in Zero Dark Thirty)

If you want single point, CQD Sling Mount is also a good one.

If you don't want spend extra money on sling mount, just use what HK416 has, the wholes on both side of gas block, and different options on butt stock.
