some questions about airsoftstore r-hop service
hi, if there are anyone have experience with airsoftstore.ca r-hop service or even if you are the staff from airsoftstore.ca, pls help me with some questions here.
i own a 416d and a mk12mod1, both from vfc. i have been told to r-hop both of them for better performance. for 416d, right now it's at 405fps with PDI 08 inner barrel and W hop. range at 175ft with 150ft flat path using .30g bb. now, with a 275mm prommy EG barrel, and properly installed and tuned r-hop, can i expect a 25ft range increase for both max range and flat path? (still using .30g bb) for mk12mod1, its 450fps, what can i expect from a 455mm prommy barrel with r-hop? if anyone have the experience with airsoftstore.ca or knows the data for above r-hop set ups, pls let me know. thank you. |

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

you should be in the 220-250ft range on both those guns using .30s, assuming your compression is good.

the barrel length doesn't matter so much as the brand/line of barrel, good ones with better bore quality will get better results. prommy's are good in that they're probably the best barrel at the price point, beyond that is diminishing returns for the cost.
You can likely get about 200-230ft with a bit of lob with a 1.48J gun, I've made those shots before with my g36. How well you can do it and hit a target you're aiming at will depend on your air compression and the quality of install. If every shot that comes out of your gun is the exact same fps, then you'll get good results with the r-hop. If you haven't upgraded your air seal components and eliminated all the leaks, then you won't get all the performance out of the r-hop. I've made many 70m shots which is 210ft-ish with my guns, but you're looking at maybe a 1 in 3 on target with the other 2 very close to target, at those ranges, it's a breeze or gust of wind that pushes it off. Even if it's passing from sunlit pavement to shaded grass, that will make the BB bend/lift/drop so you're talking shots that are going to start requiring a degree of luck beyond 60m. The longest confirmed shots i've ever made with a 1.48J p90 was closer to 85m and I was shooting from an elevated position off a 2nd floor balcony.
