There is nothing wrong with a bone stock AK47. However if anyone was looking for ideas on how to get their AK to be a bit more tactical I wrote a blog post about some upgrades that may be worth taking a look at. I went for the "over the top" look on this particular AK47 build, which I know can come across as "tacticool". But even adding just one or two of these upgrades might be just what you are looking for.

I will say that the gun does get quite heavy after adding all these parts at the same time (10-11 pound range). That said if I had to pick just one mod as far as usefulness goes, it would be the drum mag. The amount of suppressing fire you can accomplish with it is quite nice for supporting your team. It also still feels really solid.
Just wanted to show people some of the options out there for this gun, and that you don't have to have an M4/M16/AR base to put extra parts on your gun. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did putting it all together!
