New Motor

I was looking to upgrade the motor on my VFC Colt MK18 to maybe a ECHO 1 Max Speed or a Lonex. Was wondering if any one had any recommendations?

Lonex makes a good motor at a decent price, the tienly are nice too.
i wouldnt just go for a speed motor tho, if the gun has speed gears a speed motor wont really help you if you are tryin to pull a 400fps spring unless the gears are torque.

SHS High-torque, Lonex A1 or Tienly 35k would be my recommendations.

lonex or tienly don't care what gears or spring you have.. they will pull it and pull it fast.

speed vs torque motors were for the old ferrous magnet motors, anything with a neo magnet will pull heavy springs and short gears. Depending on what TPA the armatures are with what guage wire will determine rpm, overall torque and power efficency, but any neo magnet motor will outperform a stock regardless of what gears/spring setup you have.

Reading my mind I was just going to ask that question around speed and torque

speed vs torque in older ferrous motors basically changed around the TPA and wire guages to try and generate more torque or speed with the weak magnets.... If you compare lonex A1-A3 that advertise speed/torque/balanced there's probably not a 10% difference in the ratings, they are all capable of pulling 10:1s with 150 springs if you really wanted.
