Talking Back from the dead

So after a long hiatus I've decided to get back into airsoft! Basically I've noticed a ton of new brands since I've last played. I'm looking at getting another AEG. I used to have multiple Tokyo Marui rifles liked them but always ended up getting metal bodies. Are they still pretty much the best or or there some other new brands that are worth while looking at? Thanks fellas good to be back !

Use search function. Simply put, TM internals are still the best stock internals with easy to find aftermarket parts, but there are now better priced guns with similar quality and aftermarket availability while also coming with nicer externals. The people of ASC have an obsession with VFC, and I've never seen one have issues before and they can really take a beating so I'd recommend any of their guns.

It's not love but reliability that wins over the masses. Tokyo Marui and G&P with good internals but felt like toys, Classic Army, A&K and Area with good externals but had spec or proprietary issues. VFC has everything done well, easy to work with, worth the price. If your budget can handle it ($400 - $800), they're the best all around you can get. There are others, but VFC has so many guns out there and they're available in Canada. If your budget is lower, grab a G&G. Nothing special, but fairly reliable out of the box and easy to work with.

as stated, vfc master race in aeg world

High Budget:
VFC with trades (416, etc)

Mid Budget:
VFC VR16 (same as above, but with vr16 trademarks)

Optional High budget:
Krytac (without the attention to trades/details)

Good read here;

well I had one VFC... and it was a load of crap.....one of the worst gun I ever owned.. was a SCAR H... well like the RS it's a POS.... can't say on any of their other guns... to me a tm based gun with systema upgrades and metal body still takes the day... my RPK dates from the late 90's.... and it's still going strong... well except for the battery pack... I still have many aeg's of different brands... the most recent is 7 years old... and only the tm based guns still work like the day I built them....

I may be old school... and there are probably some other brands that mesure up but to me I will stick with what has been working for over a decade
