Ares G36C upgrades, weakness and reliability

Hi everybody !

Today i have a couple questions for you guys out there who had or still have experience with the G36C from Ares. I just bought one here on ASC from a member and i've been looking at some review and some post on a couples forums on the internet but honestly don't find the same opinion about it. So here i goes !

First thing i'm worrying about is reliability. It seems everybody is talking about the piston and piston head that tend to break easily. I've read also about the stock spring being too strong for the internals, so they recommand downgrading it. I didnt chrono it yet so i don't have the exact numbers, some say 300 fps while other say 390 or around. I also read about the bucking being too soft but it wasnt mentionned so many times on forums.

I have tested the gun today and fired about 100-150 rounds with it. I ajusted the hop up, the 3x scope and the red dot (because i've put a double optics carrying angle on it). The gun shoots nice, and is very accurate. Shoot like a laser on 100-150ft. (Didnt measured it). I've noticed some double feed sometimes, but i will get some better mags later.

Now, since i want to upgrade the gun to make it reliable and a little bit mor powerfull and accurate, i'm asking you guys your help!

Since the main weakness of this gun seems to be the piston/piston head and the bucking, i will replace these. I would like to get a high torque motor and maybe a new barrel also. I already have a Lonex metal hop up unit that i will install in the same time.

What you guys recommand me for replacement/upgrades part ? I would like to replace :

- the motor (i was thinking about an SHS high torque)
- the piston and the piston head (i was thinking about the Lonex blue one and the black Lonex piston head)
- the barrel (i was looking at a prometheus or a madbull)
- the bucking (what is your recommendation?)
- the spring (any recommendation?)

So guys, i'm asking for your help and advice. I'm about to open up the gun to see if there is any used parts, considering i bought the gun used.

As for upgrades, i need your advices/experiences or tought about this gun. Any help will be appreciated !
