My SL8 is too powerful

So as the title says, i have and SL8 that is shooting arouns 400fps (all internals have been upgraded). What i need to do is cut it down to around 350 so it is still a good long gun but i will also be able to slap it down to full auto when the buggers get close and i need a support gun.

What would you recomend i do, chop the spring or get a less power full spring?

Thanks
Jeremy

New Spring. Systema M100 spring or anything else within the 340-370 FPS range on this chart will solve your problem. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/SpringChart.html

Personally I shoot nearly 400fps and when people get really close I will aim for a really well padded area. (Ex: Chest cavity as its usually covered by a form of tac vest/ect.)

Not to mention, if the wind affects the shot it isnt your fault

Its not so bad if you just get one hit on your gear around 380-400fps, but if someone unloads on you at full auto with a gun shooting that hot... its not very respectful, and it damn well hurts.

well 400 fps are not too hard... we play with max m120 plus precision barrel in cqb...
which means up to 410 fps... the bad thind is, sometimes you have a distance of only 30 cm... thats what i call painfull... on forestgames wo usually don't shoot under 10 foot... just to be friendly ;-)

Thats why i want to slow down my fps, so i dont feel too bad when i need to do some mowing and i also want to playindoor with it and it will ba easier to get a bb at rule fps if it isnt starting out that fast.

I suggest the Prometheus MS100SP.

I have that in one of my guns along with a spring guide (with bearings), a ported piston head with bearings and a 6.04mm tightbore inner barrel and I get 345fps.
