It looks like the same lame offering TM usually puts out at a horrible price as usual. Why in the hell would you want a gun that has to be upgraded to shit and cost you twice as much as buying the perfectly good G&P full metal and upfraded M4 out of the box for only ~$150 more.
Why do people waste money on TM.....WHY?!?! |

They're also the best in terms of durability (when kept stock), which is good for beginners and people who won't/can't upgrade.

This might become another debate on why people shouldnt pick TMs over others. But heres my opinion... please do not flame me.
Almost all the guns that are widely used in airsoft which are produced by TM has been made/reproduced by companies such as G&P, ICS, CA, G&G, HFC, KJW etc. So the variety is there it just depends on whether you want plastic or metal. In terms of reliability... the companies aforementioned has increased the quality in terms of reliability in the past couple years, while still offering a greater "bang for your buck" of sorts in terms of what they offer. They could POSSIBLY even rival that of TMs so called reliability. But having handled the TMs new m4a1, its quite a solid piece no barrel wobble from what I saw and heavy in weight. Although it still has the gastly plastic body... and when you run yours hands down that thing it just doesnt beat the feel of an ICS, G&P or CA. I would like to also add that the one piece barrel that TM uses in my opinion is alot more solid than many other stock barrels that other companies use. It feels and looks thicker more sturdier. BUT! I will never buy a TM ever! |

no matter how you do an armalite, without a metal body, there will always be barrel wobble. you can do all kinds of thing to take it away, fasteners, extensions, nitro rails, but nothing will work like a metal body.

This might slip away... but
Well..
the C7A2 (M16A3) we are using here in the army do have some barrel wobble...(well not all of them, but mostly the ones that have fired about 10 clips) The older ones for training are awfull.... like 1/8 inch at the tip in every direction........ Knowing that these have some wobble, it is not surprising that the airsoft counterpart do have some too... |

I am willing to bet my money (and I have already) that most other companies at least CA for sure have matched TM in reliability and totally kicked there ass in everything else and who knows, probably reliablity too. Everything on a non-TM gun is usually made of something better or equal, usually comes with many upgrades and usually has more accesories. TM's non-upgraded, bare minimum included and lame plastic body does not cut it at all for me especially when it costs nearly as much as a gun you get literally over double the value for. TM is a bloody rip to me. Not only that but they are bloody toyish as well.
Hyperion, buy a G&P/CA/ICS and make the smart decision. |

A simple comparison between the frequency of CA lemons and TM lemons fresh from the box will tell you which company has better QC and reliability. Personally, I'd rather buy something made with quality standards in Japan than something made in a backwoods Hong Kong factory at the lowest bidder.

I haven't heard of ANY CA's going down out of the box lately. Back in the day yes, but that was then, before I bought, this is now, where CA guns kick ass and always do.
CA actually does listen to their customers. It was evident when their products started to improve and it is on going. (the lube issue for example, I found my new CA to have plenty enough lube) That plus the obvious value over TM. I feel I must speak out everytime this arguement comes up as guide new people into a (what a sure as hell think) smarter purchase. TM ain't perfect either. And to me, making a realistic looking gun plastic automaticlly makes it loose 75% of it's effect on me. And say CA wasn't as good as it is, I'd rather have a broken CA than a working TM any day. It'll still cost me less. |

Careful this opinion isn't for the faint of heart.
No more reason to buy a TM unless they are the only maker of your model. |

For me, it's KJW M9's and money spent upgrading TM AK's ... but what do I know?
