Inquiry: Painting defined logos

Hello everyone,

I have bought some krylon paint and are currently trying to figure out a way to let me paint a well defined logo of my choice.

Now.. I have read most of the painting threads in here. My first experimentation on my old car model wasnt satisfying.
- i used colour 1 to lay my base colour (looks good.)
- i than proceeded to paint colour 2 using a piece of cardboard with the outline cutted out. (looks bad.. way too blury than i have planned)
- i also tried regular paper with tape on it. cutted the shape and paint. (better but still too blury)
- both times i have pressed it right up agaist the object.

Now the question is. is it just not possible with spray paint. or any better method?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for reading. (awful grama. i know.)

If you want a sharp edge, your best bet is to use masking tape, or some type of light-adhesive tape. If you cannot shape it off of your gun, put down a layer of the tape onto the gun, and gently with a hobby knife cut the shape.
