one SUPER stupid question "Slide braking!!!..." plz read

how does a slide brakes???
i know it cracks with TM guns with the use of green gas..i'm now on my 3rd air-soft pistol. i own a WA Para Ord P14 Limited, TM Desert Eagle HK, and i've just got the TM Hi-Capa 5.1...the only gas i can really get is green gas..and i do plan on upgrading it with a metal slide..but for now i've only run all my guns with green gas.

With the Hi-Capa 5.1 i'm so happy i've finally bought it hearing all the high remarks on this fourm. Its blow back with the use with green gas is just outra good feeling.."yes i liked it alot better than my other two"..

>>NOW TO THE VERY VERY IMPORTANT PART I WANNA KNOW<<
Now with the super power i'm feeling with this airsoft, the powerful blowback and the loud SOUND its making when firing...for every shot and every time i pull the trigger i'm just so damn scard that the slide would brake and shadder-ed to pieces flying back it would hit me......
does it just crack or will it just fly right out of the gun???
other than this i'm very happy with it..much happier than the WA Para and DE hk. it feel very powerful, maybe not the kick..i'm not sure its about the same as my other two..but oh boy...was this one a loud one running with green. It sounds powerful to me but scary at the same time for me.. :smack:

For the WA pistol, get a WA flow restrictor from airsoft innovations. For the other two, if you are really, really paranoid get yourself a metal slide/outer barrel for each. That should solve your problem.

And please, please use a spell check before posting!

First thing to do would be to go to airsoftinnovations and read about 'green gas' And then, save yourself a truck load of money and get a adapter.

From my experience, (with a glock) the slide tends to recoil so hard that it detactes itself from the slide guides. I've heard of people getting smoked in the face with a slide, but have never done that myself.

TM Hi-Capa Governments have a relatively thin slide catch notch
Mine started showing significant wear after a few months with propane/green gas
I would say, once you see the plastic start to deform, start looking for some metal to put on

how do i tell if its starting to deform?? where?? can i have pics show the parts i must look at??
and what are some other things i can look for??

and CalvinTat,
so i was right...the slide can really blow off and hit a face....scary :borg:
how long should a avg. new gun last such like the TM Hi-Capa 5.1??

After 1 year of extensive beating the crap out of my TM hicapa the only issue is have with it is the slide catch is now all but non exsistant and the real sight broke in two. I've never used anything other than propane. Besides those two "problems" the gun still performs on part with a stock aeg

lock the slide back and at the point where the slide lock meets the catch, thats the part you need to look at
by the way, I put my Hi Capa through quite a lot of use; it gets fairly hot here in the summer as well
also, I needed some kind of excuse to slap on some metal on my gun
heh
