Super 9 (hear me out)

Alright, I know that if I dont want to spend a lot of money, airsoft is probably not the best hobby. BUT, if I can cut corners and save money I will. I know there are much better choices out there, but I do enjoy a good project.

Has anyone here owned a Super 9? I'm just wondering if they're even worth buying for the $50, then upgrading them by hand (see unconventional airsoft article). Has anyone tried this? What sort of FPS would you expect? How terrible are these rifles stock anyways? Does anyone know if they have fairly regular airsoft parts (like barrels and whatnot, for installing longer barrels or tightbore, etc)? I just dont have enough information on these, and I'd like to know more.

I doubt you'll find alot of information here on them anyways, even if nobody gives you shit about asking.

Mostly because I don't think more than a handful of people on here have any experience with them.

PM Sent - again, on the older verisons, even the claimed "version 2's" that I've worked with have poor FPS and poor overall range.

If you can get a hold of that brand new version though...supposed to be pretty decent.

I owned one, it's a piece of garbage in general. Things broke off that shouldn't have and it's just not worth it. Honestly.

It's laying in pieces all around my house.

I own one, bought it for dirt cheap just for shits and giggles. What I got was dirt cheap too.
It has to be one of the worst things I've seen after EBB guns. That says it all.
