Are Version 2 tappet plates compatible across V2 AEGs?

Sent Illusion a PM, but might have a V2 tappet plate lined up for tonight, and don't want to wait for info if I do.

Am working on a well worn TM MP5, got it shooting last night, 50 shots or so and the tappet plate snapped. Checked around, looked at ASC Armoury, they have V2 tappet plates but not specified for which guns. Always assumed slight differences between MP5 tappet and M4/M16, but now it looks like an M4/M16 tappet will work fine in my MP5. Is this true?

Thanks.

Tokyo Marui has gun-specific tappet plates with very minor differences in the shape of the catch that interfaces with the sector gear's knob.

But all aftermarket manufacturers just have gearbox version-specific tappet plates - such that a v2 will fit across all v2 guns (most mp5s, all armalites, etc) and a v3 will fit across all v3's (mp5k, ak, g36, etc).

Thanks Bri. Johnny Do is sending me a Guarder tappet this afternoon, and was wondering about TM ones, since this one has MP5 on the bottom. So, if I pick up a TM Armalite one tonight, any way I can use it, aka. shape it to have a similar profile and have it work well?

Just a heads up, I successfully modded an M16A2 tappet plate (just says A2 on the bottom) to workin my MP5. There were some differences in the ass-end of it, namely it had a very much shallower half round notch in the middle of the front angle that sits on the sector gear axle, and the front edge of it near the horizontal bar that is about 1mm too far forward compared to the MP5 tappet.

Have put about 200-250 rounds through it since getting it to work properly, is holding up (considering the first one broke on me after less than 50shots........ it was old anyways, guess it's time had come.)

Hey folks!!!
I have a TM MP5 SD5 and I have had nothing but trouble with tappet plates for it.
My stock one broke once while opening up the mechbox to do a M100 spring upgrade so I bought a Systema Area 1000 one for a Ver 2 mechbox.
It was feeding 3-5 bb's at a time. It had to come out.
I then plastic soldered my stock one together and it worked for a while. I then bought a ICS Ver 2 tappet plate and it wouldn't allow my mechbox to go together flush. I had to dremel it to make the two halves meet nicely. It just broke again.
I am now using a soldered one again. I am wondering, my bb's are frequently getting jammed at the hop up. Could my hop up rubber be getting worn out and gripping the ball too much in turn causing the nozzle to force the tappet to somehow break?

PLEASE HELP

Do yo uput silicon oil in your loading nozzle once in a while as per regular maintainance? Could be your hop up rubber is on it's way out. Could be a few things really. As far as the tappet goes, and feeding a few BBs per shot, could be the tappet stroke is a bit too long and causing it? Dunno, since I swapped over and modded the A2 tappet, I've been toying with what the differences are in the shape of the ass end in relation to the type of hop up unit (M16, M4, MP5, etc.) that various V2 mechboxes deal with.

I used a stock G3 tappet in my SR16 for a year or so before upgrading it, I had no problems at all. I still have no idea how my original one got so bent...
