Can I create this gun out of a tm hi-capa?

Hi,
I'm in love with long pistols and would like some advice on creating this gun, except 2 or 3 inches longer (yes, you read that right. An 8.0 or 9.0 inch IED would be like a dream come true for me).

If anyone has tips on creating a gun like that please share. It'd be best if I can make it out of a TM hi-capa, but meh. whatever's necessary.

PS:
I've seen pics of a TM 5.1 with the First Factory 7 inch slide installed. And it doesn't look as long as the gun above. Are these slide measurements accurate?

Thanks

That IED is a 6". The Hi-Capa with Nine Ball 7" kit should look longer. Probably the reason why it didn't "look" as long is because of the 5.1's extended mag base that hangs out of the bottom. If you get the Hi-Capa 4.3 magazine, it won't hang out as much and should give you close to the look you're after.

The only thing that's difficult to recreate like the IED is the extended mid-frame.

I notice that you used the word "difficult" and not "impossible". :-D
So any ideas?

yup.

wait.

until a company releases an aftermarket replacement.

Or you could machine one yourself...

so no, not impossible. Just... difficult. Time consuming and/or expensive.

Actually... I just realized that a 6" extended mid-frame DOES exist.

I have it on one of my Hi-Capas:

If you don't use the compensator that the kit comes with, then you have the exact length for a 6" kit.

All you'd need to do is just slap on a 6" slide... which... as far as I know, doesn't exist for the Hi-Capa. yet. Back to my previous post.
