To CA G36 owners

I finally got my CA G36C yesterday and so far I've been really impressed by it. Th first thing I notice about it is it's weight and texture. I used to own a TM G36 and albeit I thought it looked cool, it was having some performance issues (one of the selector switches broke off easily and a few other minor things). I notice that with this one, it seems to have a higher rate of fire and more FPS behind it too, in comparison to the TM one I had.

Over all, I would have to say that my own experience with the CA G36C has been a positive one.

What has your experience been like with yours?

I too had a TM one (not by choice just on impulse for a G36) for short time. It felt pretty plasticy, wasn't anything special just like anything TM plastic in my oppinion.

After selling it within weeks (years ago) I got a CA one last summer. Let's just say....it felt special/good/awsome/orgasmic. Asd usual, better in every way than the TM for about the same price.

I've only really had experience with the CA one. The only problems I've had so far are that the ambi-selector switches wobble with relation to eachother (although individually, they click and position extremely positively) and that the handguard is incredibly difficult to put on/take off.

Numerous issues with mine due mostly to poor luck, so I'm still fairly happy with chosing CA.

BTW, you'll probably want to glue down your left safety switch. It's also easier to put the handguard back on if you rotate the bayonet lug 180 degrees.

Recently got mine upgraded by CDN_Stalker, he said it comes apart a lot easier than the TM ones. My right side selector switch is really loose, I've heard of people having problems with the left one from several sources but my left selector is solid. I absolutly hated the stock optics, I have a TM G36c rail on the top now (direct switch, no grinding or anything required) and a holosight, just waiting on my N-size bulk battery order from ebay to come in to test it all out. The handguard is a pain but I have a battery butt stock to install, was originally going to go LiPo in the handguard but dont want to go near 11.1V and figured the 7.4V was better suited to my P90 with highspeed gears.

She shoots straight, the hopup stays where you put it, I've use the stock CA hicap, TM lowcaps, and STAR midcaps (that are listed on WGC as "not for CA36") and they all work perfectly with no misfeeds or jams. Just remember that CA is known for piss poor quality pistons and piston heads so if your going to get it upgraded, have those two parts swapped with better ones while your at it, the number of stories I've heard of CA pistons stripping and/or shattering inside the mechbox are many.

lol just order one off of WGC or UNC, you don't have to group order for such a small part. my buddy JDM ordered 4 SIG 552 mags, a helmet and bolle goggles and knee pads and they came through no problem. saved a crapload of money too.

As for my CA36K, she's performed beautifully for the time I've had her, and I only need to replace a worn out piston right now. Even still, she still fires and functions great. My gripe is the shitty optics in the K handle, which I'll replace with the Star handle with the rail on top of the scope.

again, late post
my G36K i sold to takatorikku, and it performed perfect for me except on the first game, never rotate the barrel, it causes the hopup to fall apart! but i fixed it. other than that its an amazing stock gun. and sean had an LMG36, but CA put high speed gears in it and it stripped the piston in 15 seconds (while testing), long story short he has the fastest firing AEG in manitoba, also kicked some serious ass at games.

Theres about 4 CA G36s on my team. The only problem with them (so I've heard) is the scope. Other then that, they love em
