Glock RDS or Reflex Sights
Is there some sort of RDS or Reflex Sight that will work on my kwa g19 without a scope mount? I'm thinking of either a laser or this but my biggest concern is because my glock has blowback so I'm guessing it won't work without a mount?

I was wondering about something similar. I noticed that there are a number of Docter style mounts made by airsoft accessory companies for 19/2011s that would presumably fit a Docter, Samurai, or King Arms OPS style mini reflex.
Nothing for the glock, however... Besides maybe real steel stuff? *found it: http://www.uncompany.com/pageproduct...sp?prodid=7882 I think it fits where the rear ironsights dovetail onto the slide. Also dug this up: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/gallery...to=1004&cat=23 ILL9MIL! How did you doooo it? **another add-on, semi thread jack: more glock accessories wonderin' going down Is there a replica strike plate/alternative force block made for the glock? Will the P226 one fit? The very first strike kit I ever saw was on a glock and now I can't seem to find them anywhere...

ya I saw ILL9MIL's gallery post and that's what got my interest.
I wonder if the blowback will affect the sight =/ after seeing the cost of the mount itself, I might just get a laser instead and go the cheap way! |

Haha, I'm looking at all these things to spruce up my glock too. I wanted a laser as well, but something that would still let me holster my glock. Wheeee, anyone know of a replica grip mounted laser? Something like the Crimson Trace one, but not $250... Would something like the Lasermax system work in an airsoft glock? Or are the internals too different?

i just had to revive this topic as I was looking more at reflex sights for pistols. Does anyone know how they function (the mounting itself)? Like would installing the sights require you to disable the blowback (otherwise it might like fly off if not properly installed, etc)

Which "reflex sight" are you referring to, specifically? They all mount differently.
Doctersight, Tasco/Optima type mini-RDS sights use a mount that slides in to the rear sight mount. As far as I know, the airsoft Glock has a very close fit to real steel sight mounts. Typically, the mounts for these sights right around $49.95 USD and if my hunch is correct, should slide on to an airsoft slide with little to no modifications. The RDS is then screwed down on to the mount. Similar idea as what I have on my Hi-Capa (except, because the rear mount is airsoft-specific, I used an airsoft mount that pretty much costed as much as a real steel mount): |

i was looking at airsoftparts.ca and im interested in the King Arms OP-style reflex sight
the description says that it fits on 20mm rails? I'm supposing I would need a rail or some sort for my glock? I just never seen these sights in action with a pistol. Only still images but they don't show anything. I know this may be a stupid question but does the mounted refelx sight move with the slide when the slide cycles? |

I had a Samurai OP sight on my G19. I only fired a few mags at cans in my basement but the sight didn't move. OP sights are really nice too. BTW if you are ever in the market for a G19 mount I have one... *wink wink nudge nudge*.

the sight didnt move but does the sight move along with the slide? Do you know what im trying to get at =/
would your mount fit say the king arms sight i want and how much? In all honesty, would you find a laser or a reflex sight more useful? EDIT: oh i just saw your for sale pics and its not the mount Im looking for, I was thinking more of Illusions mount Last edited by underground; January 9th, 2007 at 03:04.. |

I'm not sure what you mean by move along with the slide. If it's mounted to the rear sight like in Illusions picture then yes it'll move with the slide, as it's mounted on the slide. But if it's on a scope mount then no, it doesn't move with the slide, as the mount is attached to the lower frame of the pistol. As for my mount it should fit the king arms sight as that sight is pretty much the same as the samurai OP sight I had.

Underground, you're going to the (potentially canceled) game this Saturday, right? I have a samurai ops sight (bought from grim here, actually ) that I could show you. Basically, the pistol mount replaces the 20mm rail mount included with the sight. The whole sight unscrews into the upper half (RDS, batt, adjustment and locking screws) and the lower half (mount). It's really quite obvious if you see the parts in person.
