TM SIG 552.

Has anyone changed out the folding stock for a full stock? I'd be interested in modding my gun to a full stock in an effort to allow the use of a large battery.

Any ideas? I Don't want to put any batt accessories on my forestock rail or use a batt bag. Looking to keep the look clean.

Thx.

I believe there is a crane stock available for it,

how many mags are you planning on going through?

That mini I sold you lasted me 3 games with 9 mags.

I tend to go through all my mags a couple or 3 times per 1/2 day game. I have 6 standard mags for my M16 and one 130rd one. I empty all of them when I'm putting down supressing fire.

I might just buy another mini or two for the 552.

If you wanted to convert it to large you would also need to reroute the cabling on the inside. Its a bit of a pain but its doable. Get a crane stock, and extend the harness to the stock.

I reloaded all 9 mags twice for most games and that mini was more than enough .

For the cost of them now I'd just buy a second mini battery... in fact I did... several. I now use them in my MP5

yeah i really dont see the problem with minis. you cant 1400mah ones that i can use for 8 hours of play and still keep a charge with a 30 discharge rate. having two is great.

Many people are still iffy about them because they played in the days of 300-500 mAh NiCad minis. The technology has improved alot since then.

Crane stock, top rail and RIS

Just be careful if you install that top rail.

A local guy installed one on his sig and screwed it too tight and cracked the body.

no

G36 mags are larger and load vertically, sig mags load AK style.

In reality the swiss borrowed a number of the G36's features when they created the 550 series including the selector, internal style and the transparent mags amoung others.
