dont go with the CA33E.. if you want an SG-1 Type.. but you want full metal.. go with a Classic Army SAR Taktik Rifle II (G3 SG1).. CA33Es have those ugly ass mags.. that ONLY work on CA33's.. however if you go with a CA/TM SG-1 the mags work on all G3 versions... ( As Far As I Know)
But CA G3 Mags need to be modified to work on TM G3's. I personall have a TM G3 SG-1 and love it.. it may not have a metal body.. but I dont mind for now. Some people complain about creaks and sounds when handling the TM models because of the plastic.. but I barely notice anything. Theres lots of parts and accessories for the CA and TM SG-1s.. and yea.. I love mine. |

I would say CA33 because it is supposed to be better built. I have the sg1 from TM and find it to be very good but it's mags are more common in the CA counterpart. I have not actually seen a CA33 in real life though so I suggest you get more opinions and fill out more of your profile.

I had an SG-1 and loved it.
It was perfect for outdoor games, which can be used both as a support and sharpshooter rifle.... even better with an integrated bipod and cheek rest.

'33E is a good solid rifle:
Pros: -Solid Metal Construction -Mags that fit in standard M16 mag pouches -Easy to strip down and get to the gearbox Cons: -Mags are unique and hard to find -It's a little big for CQB use -Should probably replace the hop-up upon arrival I don't know anything about the SG1, so I'ma leave that to people who know. But yeah, the '33E is a solid and beautiful weapon. It was just a bit too big for my tastes, so I sold it.

i have a TM SG1 and love it to death.
trying to sell my TM for a CA. i would the TM SG1 before the CA because that way u can play around with it and get uset to the size and weight the CA is heavy from what i'm told so for a first timer go for the lighter TM. |

Having had both & having upgraded both, I feel I'd stay with the CA33.
No body creaking at all, unlike the G3. All metal vs plastic out of the box. Able to use a silencer without needing an adaptor. Good if you want a longer barrel or just to quiet the gun up. CA33, I tried hard to make it jam, wouldn't do it. The G3 jammed several times. CA33 mags bit scarce, but just get in on a group order and your all good. "CA33Es have those ugly ass mags..", those mags actually have some character. They also fit the most common .223/5.56 mag pouches. Now for stocks, both can take whatever your imagination wants. Folding UMP, MP5 Slither, PDW Folder, M4 Collapsing & even tactical sling end caps. (Requires a little do it yourself but it can be done.) Both are V2, so upgrade parts are a plenty, IIRC the hop-up's are the exact same on them as well. M4/M16 type. Pretty decent, not as good as say the AK or M14's but it does the job well. Uses all the same optic mounts, so their interchangable. As for the weight of the gun, I found it to be very managable and I'm more then capable of wielding it no problem with one hand. Anywho, for overall best opinion. CA33 hands down over the TM G3/SG1. Have any indepth questions about either of these guns, feel free to private message me if ya want. Want to see pic's of them, then check them out here. http://s109.photobucket.com/albums/n.../Airsoft/G3A4/ http://s109.photobucket.com/albums/n.../Airsoft/HK33/ I started with a G3A4 & added the full stock later on to make it an SG1. In case your wondering. The only difference between the two is the stocks and battery wiring configuration. |

if you are gonna get a G3 Sg1, (i like the G3 SG1 over the CA33E because the G3 SG1 looks better imo) get the CA version because its full metal (no creaky plastic body in the TM version) and with it shoots around 330-350 fps out of the box, its called, Classic Army SAR Taktik rifle II.
