P226 compatability.
I just ordered a KJW P226 and Im looking into more magazines and enhancements. I know the KJW mag leak issue can be repaired by a simple turn of an allen key, but if an oppurtunity came up where i could get another kind like TM or KSC, will they work? Or a barrel upgrade? If anyone else owns one and could give me advice itd be great,

yes... it says specifically on almost every major retailers site that because of some difference in the dimensions they wont fit.

i just bought a VFC TM/KJW P226 threaded steel barrel with a detachable thread. and the result is its not compatible out-of-the-box, but all i have to do is use a metal file and file off a tiny corner and everything will fit. Easy Job, takes no more than 5 minutes! |

just love the gun...shoots so hard and pretty precise. And it is just so heavy..just too heavy,it is as heavy as a tm vsr-10 and I just love to hold it.
I have bought a serpa black hawk carbon fiber holster and 2 mags and I am happy at 90% of my purchase, the only thing that disappointed me was the compatibility between the tm and the kjw. pros. -heavy..so heavy -pretty accurate -hard kick -good efficiency -full metal -very very very realistic with the decocking lever -good velocity cons. -maybee too heavy for all day carry -not as upgradable as the tm version -the mag cannot interferre w/ the marui -plastic loading muzzle may break my next upgrades are: -5 more mags -enhanced loading muzzle -150% recoil spring -outer barrel with cw thread -full metal silencer -inner barrel 601 |

I currently have the p226 from KjW I upgraded to the tits... awesome gun by the way but the trades are pretty damn crappy.
I was in contact with one of the guys on arnies and he told me the reason why the TM p226 mags wont fit the kjw is because the paint is to thick on the Tm mags. What he did was shave some paint off and it fit like a charm. I had a really hard time fixing the leak of the KJW mag. What I did was soaked the bottom of the mag where the gas is inserted, with AI supplied silicone oil. This fixed the problem permanantly. Also the feeding nozzle will break easily so I advice you buy a gaurder reinforced replacement for it. |

if we ever end up at a game together we should compare the weight of your KJW to my TM (which has a guarder full metal upgrade to it) and see which is heavier. im actually rather curious now simply because i know the marui after the upgrade is definitely not a light gun and i cant imagine anyone using a heavier p226.
