TM P226

New Problem however... My Guarder metal frame/slide for the TM P226, I have fitted the frame with little problems other than the usual game of "find the retarded small spring", however I just ran across a problem!

On the left side of the P226 the holes drilled for the screws that secure the grips do not have a threading, how can I remedy this situation?

Initial Problem solved. Thank you Renegade!

Hey Guys,

I am encountering a slight problem with my P226 atm. The issue is with part P226-11 and P226-10 and me not knowing where the hell it came from. The diagram provided by TM does not exactly help. I suspect it goes in front of the piston lip and into the muzzle but I cannot get it to sit properly. I have; however, left the parts out and attempted to fire the P226 and there doesn't seem to be any problems.

Edit: P226 slide does not lock back when magazine is empty due to the lack of this part.

Oh and I kinda bent it a bit by accident, about a 30 degree bend from normal.

Thanks for any help.

That spring and rod goes in the little well on the right side of the loading nozzel, after it is pushed in. you put the nozzel in, then insert the spring and rod push it down then push the whole assembly back into your slide, this locks it all in and the nozzel should be able to move forward, wit hthe spring pushing it back in to the valve cover.

On your new problem: Did you lose the little metal inserts that provide threading? They pull right out and might be still on your grips or floor?

Nope, those are still in the original frame, the problem is that Guarder saw it fit to eliminate the need for the TM metal inserts and thread the single piece frame itself. I guess I need a tool to tread the frame myself, I just don't know the thread size nor what the proper tool is actually called.

If I remember correctly, you will need a standard M3 tap.

just to make sure, go at any hardware store and see if you can fit a m3 nut on your screw, if it fits, then that is your tap.

weird.... my guarder kit didnt need to have the part threaded it came fully prepared and ready to be installed. there was no issue at all.

as for part 10 and part 11 i left them out of mine and the slide still locks back on an empty mag. the thing fires 100% and works without them. i couldnt get them back in when i did the upgrade, i emailed WGC about it and was told by them to just leave the parts out.
