torque up gears

anyone have experience testing these out?
I need to know the rate of fire decrease when going from stock ratio to torque up, and stock ratio to super torque up; on the same spring.
My M249 fires too fast for my liking, i want it more realistic; 700-800rpm (since mine uses 'belts' only).

I've used Prometheus triple torque ups (equivalent to Systema Super Torque Up) before, and the loss in ROF was only slightly noticeable with an 8.4v 2400mAh sub-c large battery pack.

Using a lower voltage battery will give you a more noticeable depreciation in ROF.

You may notice more of a drop if you go all the way up to the Max Torque or Infinity Torque up levels, but you'll need to get half-toothed pistons to use those gears

well I'm gonna be looking for a 300-400rpm reduction, a 7.2 should reduce it by 150-200. I suspect my motor is higher speed, I'll try a stock CA motor in it when I start modding it.

I'm sure a 7.2v battery and a high torque gear set should give you that required drop.

I would install guarder infinity torque up gears and a extreme mAh capacity battery... Another installation trick we use down here is to install 11.1v 4000mAh lithium battery and a adjustable rheostat voltage regular on the wire inside to adjust rate of fire.

I'm gonna buy all my standard upgrade stuff (cylinder set, spring, spring guide, piston)
then im going to try prometheus double torque up gears, check RoF on my 8.4v 4200 batt, then on my 8.4 1400 batt (that will determine wether i switch to a 7.2v 4200 battery)

First of all a Rheostat is NOT a voltage regulator.

Second don't do that. The stat you will need to be able to handle such high current would be the size of a cola can. Plus it would get hot like hell.

Li-Po is not a bad idea. You should use some 7.4v high drain rate packs (something along 20C.) with a sufficient capacity (should be able to get a 5000mAh to fit the space of a large 8.4v pack). That way you will get better efficiency, and a slight reduction in ROF (should shot a bit more than 8.4v Ni-Cd pack). The most important thing is that you will get weight reduction. A lost of weight reduction. Plus extra capacity.

I'm gonna stick with the 8.4v NiMH that i have, cut a cell out of it if i need a 7.2
