CA SIR short type Carbine installation issue

Hey guys, recently purchased a CA SIR... it's all nice but... there's one problem.
Where do I put my BUIS?!? There's no rail after the SIR system (metal body wise)? I know there's a BUIS specially designed for the SIR, but.. there's no space for that either.

Here are pictures to better explain the problem.

If I post this in the wrong forum, sorry.

I had the same problem when I put the SIR on my CA M15, all I did was mark the spot where the flip up rear sight goes and cut a slot into the top just deep enough for the bar on the sight to go in.

Not a close up but it gives you an idea.

Maybe its missing an extra Picantanny rail if its not that... Than it could be that your SIR is too far back?

I checked with Xepharo and we realised that is body is in fact missing a rail. I don't see how the SIR could be too far back unless he forces it thru his delta ring but that wouldn't be any good.

I'm checking with the manufacturers and dealers right now.
Some CA M15A4 metal bodies have 12 grooves, some have 13 grooves. I don't understand why CA would do this.

I'm looking at my G&P M4, and I've definitely got at least one more notch on the top at the back. Break out the dremel?

Yeah, I thought of doing the dremel job (I suck at it)... but I would rather sell it and get a better metal body... Hurricane maybe.

another thing.. forgot to mention, I was just talking to Morbius bout it.
The rails arent up to mil. spec. I had to sell my Eotech 511 cause it didn't fit, kept on falling off.. freaking Classic Army...

was it too loose? did you shim it so it would stay on there tightly?
and use a file instead of the dremel, slower, but does a much nicer job.

The gun started as a regular M15, before I put the SIR on I installed the short aluminum outer barrel, then the SIR, it took all of a few minutes, except for the fact that you need a special wrench to get the CA outer barrels on/off. The rear folding sight had the same problem as being discussed, didn't have a slot for it, so I marked where the bar would sit and used a fine toothed hack saw, cut a slot on either side of the space needed to the right depth, then filed the middel out. The gun looks a bit different now then when I took the picture, I've since put the RDS in a low scope ring, and changed the pistol grip to a KA G26 grip.

medhatboy, can this all be done by just using the bastard cutter file?

It's not only Classic Army, couple of brands, even RS, don't have a perfect fit with the EO's...
