KJW M9 takedown problem
Hiho.
I just bought a KJW M9 full metal, and a silencer. The silencer came with a new outer barrel. I am trying to install it, but I just cant get the outer barrel off the other stuff (dunno what its called, chamber or gearbox or something. Its grey ) Anyone know how I can do this? Yours Bestec

OK, on the right side of the pistol there is a button [part 66] (on the left, it looks like a small lever forward of the trigger guard). Push the button, and then turn the lever downwards towards the muzzle (clockwise) [part 52].
Push the slide forward, it should then separate the pistol into upper and lower halves. With the upper half, you can still move the slide as if you're chambering a round. Push the assembly forward, then up and out. Just be careful of the spring, you'll need to hold it firmly as you're removing it, otherwise it will end up on the other side of the room. Kind of hard to explain without pictures, but there you have it. Reassembly is of course the reverse, although when you put the upper half back on the slide rail, you can cock the slide all the way back (as if chambering a round), and it will automatically lock the disassembly button [part 52] in one smooth motion. Yup I know how to separate the two parts, but once Ive gotten the outer barrel + the thing thats stuck on it, out, i can't separate them. I want to get part 4 alone, so I can replace it.
Thanks anyways

Ah ok I see. I've never done that on my KJW M9 unfortunately, I'm sorry.
Perhaps that reference picture can help you in the disassembly.

Nobody knows how I can get the part on the previous picture out?
I tried to use raw force, but didn't seem to help. I guess I could have gone harder on it, but I don't want to ruin anything.

You need to just keep tapping the pin out. There are tools you can buy to assist you. WGC has some pin removing tools in their TOOLs section. Something like these are supposed to help:
http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...L-PO_cat_Tools http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...-PGT_cat_Tools I've never used them myself so I can't testify to their effectiveness. But investing in something to punch out pins isn't a bad idea. Airsoft guns use pins quite a bit. good luck, Zi-Xiao

tool...that works... needle nose pliers... on the KJW (I have two btw) the pin is smaller on one side then the other, pull pin out carefully (Don't loose this!!) and the two peices (Inner and outer) will seperate just nicely.

Nice guns you've got there! And thanks for the help. I'll keep on trying!
In what end is it smallest? to the right or to the left if you keep the barrel pointing away from you?

Did you find a way to remove it?
I've got the same problem as you. I don't want to spend 22,50$ plus shipping from Hong Kong just to get a tiny pin out. There must be an easier way. I'm trying to punch it out with a little allen key but nothing good is happening. Does somebody have an idea? |

Use a hammer and finishing nail to tap the pin out. That's what I did with mine to separate the inner and outer barrels. Worked fine.

Jesus christ this thread is a year old!? Why the hell would you post here asking a question like that!

Thanks I'll try the finishing nail... Is there really a bigger side on this pin? Can't find which one it is.
What's the problem with the thread being a year old? I didn't want to start a new one since somebody already had a problem with the same thing. It proves I'm doing some searching before posting anything. |
