anyone heard of BOYI?
Hey, I just got back from Florida, from vacation, and i bought myself an AEG from the company BOYI, I've never heard of them, but it was $80 at a flea market... Turns out it shoots pretty good actually, just as good if not better than my $250 M86. This is a BOYI M4A1. Just wondering if anyone has heard of the compay BOYI before, and knows its quality?
And yes, I got it through customs here in Canada, we had called customs, and they said they dont have a problem with airsoft guns going through... which really confuses me, because I've heard that if you order an airsoft gun from a dealer in the US it wont get through customs... |

You got lucky, incredibly lucky, that's all.
The CBSA treats 'em like replicas, and you usually get buttsecks'ed when trying to bring one in on your person. |

Unless you want a lot of no fun, remember the simplest thing that is always said in these forums: buy in Canada.
There's a few reasons for that, pretty much all of them based on laws that can be enforced to your detriment. Yes, some parts can be brought in or shipped in, but you still depend on the whim of CBSA. |

likely the customs person had no idea what you were talking about (airsoft) and just said yes to cover their ass.
if you had said "replica firearm" they would known right away to arrest you. |

OK? This means that you could buy an airsoft gun in the US, call customs, and they let you through. Because I'm going to New York by car in a few days, and this is giving me some ideas ( bad ones).
