Stripped/Rounded off mechbox screws!

Ok so 3 of my mechbox screws(allen style) has become rounded off. I'm wondering if it is a bad idea to just use blunt force impact on the screws to make a larger hex or philips screw slot. I don't feel like cutting a slot into it as the screws are countersunk and I don't want to scratch up/put excessive wear on the mechbox.

In addition...what threads and length are the long mechbox bolts for the G&P series?

Try using a Torx head screwdriver to take them out and then replace them. I've been successful trying that in the past for some of my screws that required replacement.

Get whats called an easy out or get the specialized screw driver that has a special end that you use to get stripped screws out. I wouldnt do any pounding on a monkey metal mechbox as it may crack it if you are not careful. Both of these solutions should cost you less than 10 bux.

I tried torx on the basis that it has so many sides that one should at least catch on...but alas no success.

I'm going to get an easy out on friday.

I've had this happen to me so many times lol
the only people making good mechbox screws are systema, as if nobody else has thought of making 3mm hex heads yet!
so what i did was use a hacksaw to turn the hex heads into flat heads, if one of those screws is sitting in a countersunk hole, your going to need to drill it out which is pretty easy considering the metal they use for screws is abnormally soft.
