U.S. GOV TradeMark Silencer (56K Warning)*
So I decided to try something out. I took a Oxford stencil and traced out the letters "U.S. GOV" onto my P90 silencer. I traced it out with a Mechanical Pencil (Lead Pencil). I tried paint many times but it would keep smudging and could not find a white pencil crayon. It looks crooked but oh well. Looks pretty damn good to me. The other thing I couldn't do is have those small letters above and under the "U.S. GOV" because in the pics on google, couldn't make out the letters. Pretty blurry.
I also drilled holes to make it more "realistic" and also painted the orange plastic tip and kept the orange barrel tip on my P90 not painted. Here are the pics. Thanks for looking. |

... Too bad that'd wipe completely off with your fingers...
Crayon wouldn't work either, the whole premise behind that is that it fills in the engraved trades and wipes away from the flat surface, leaving white trades behind. |

I think only way you could do it would be with krylon...or some sort of plasticish based paint. And just using those letter stencils make a bigger stencil out of like construction paper. and
You could try oil pastels but that totally depends on the outer surface. P.S. I think it should be US Govt? if im wrong correct me |

Oh we do hate you, just never felt like wasting the time to give you a user title :P

try a "Chineese marker" I'm not sure the exact name but it looks like a pencil crayon but you just peel off the outer cover to sharpen it it may e called a greese pencil they will rit under water and they use em at Tim Hortons to mark your coffee.

how about you just stencil on a piece of paper and cut out with an exacto knife the traced letters then paint using flat white to the cut out to the area you want to paint, the piece of paper will also serve as a blocker for unessesary painted areas....

Oh wow, thanks guys. I will try. But I would need to go out and buy an exacto knife.
Instead of tracing. I'm going to print out a sheet with the same font and letters and knife them out. |
