KJW P226/229 Hybrids, need a partner
I'm getting a KJW P229 soon and I was thinking about a potential mod for it. Basically I'd need someone with a KJW P226 in good (ideally: new) external condition and working order. What we'd do then is to trade slides (of if preferred, only stock slide, stock outer barrel, stock inner barrel, stock recoil spring and guide assembly) and produce the following bastard children.
(Incestuous parents on the left, mutant kids on the right; guns are 99% to scale with each other) The P226 frame + P229 slide (yours) would look vaguely P228-ish. The P229 frame + P226 slide (mine) would look, I dunno, funny? Anyone interested? I'd prefer someone local to avoid shipping and to allow testing the idea in person first.

Hm. I have a 229. Not much difference except for the extended slide nub and the extended grip.

I've got small hands and I don't like a lot of extra grip hanging out the bottom, hence the P229 frame. I figure someone out there might have big hands but don't like the longer slide.

I think the short slide on the 226 frame looks sexy. mmmmmm bastard gun goodness.
