question about the game

i have not played yet and am just wondering how people tell their teams apart do to the fact that a lot of people dress differently. so in the woods or in an urban setting how can you tell you team apart from the enemy.

Different sets of camo mostly. at KS3 US wore multicam, ACU, etc, Canada wore cadpat, DPM, and OD, and germany wore flectarn.

Indoors at XT we use helmet colors, black vs camo

cammo patterns usually dictate teams,,i myself use armbands ( of sorts ) to identify medics, v.i.p/hostage or potential "targets of interest" during games.

I either:

a) tell by camo if that's how the teams were split

b) remember who I'm up against

c) which direction are they going

Another thing; in games as in real life, confusion happens. Up to you to pay attention.

Go see a game to find out more.

Camo usually, but it can get confusing when there are two similar camo types (such as DPM and US Woodland) on opposite teams.

Many "pickup" or "skirmish" games can get a little confusing sometimes, but can usually be split along what everyone is wearing for camo. Ie: "woodland and multicam on one side, everything digital on another side".

Better organized, "milsim" or "scenario" events are planned out well in advance and here team identity is sorted out well before hand. An Afghan-themed game I attended this season had the "NATO" team in ACU or CADPAT, with the "insurgents" dressed in a mix of camo and civies. It was really easy to tell teams apart.

If you play with the same group for long enough, you'll be able to tell who's who even if they're all wearing the same thing. I can tell everyone in our group apart, and they all usually wear MARPAT.

Airsoft is the kind of game that sounds more confusing then it actually is.

try to recognize your teammates features such as weapons, kit load out, moving in the same direction as your team, radio communication or hand signals helps too. The most important is PAY ATTENTION !!! nothing sucks more than being killed by your mates.

I once got shot by a guy on my team. I was right behind him, he knew we were following, he turned around and shot at close range. Let's say we had words.

Just pay attention to who was on your team at the start and there wont be a problem. Most likely you will know were abouts your team will be if you made any sort of plan of attack

Lets just say know who's around you I shot one guy on my team who just happened to run directly into my line of fire as I was in a fire fight. I got him and the guy I was exchanging rounds with. I was like WTF why did you run directly into my line. Communication is definately the key to preventing FF kills.
