or you can save you money and get 12 (+/-) X 68 rd mags and leave the support gunning for the guys with LMG's.
The version2 gearbox has a couple of structural flaws in it. After some pounding they crack and need replacing. Its a headache that leaves you gunless for games. Plus with the low cap mags, you can go to any Milsim with lots of ammo. Most prairie MILSIM games have ammo regulations. 1X highcap 3X midcaps unlimited low caps. Just my $0.02, but if thats the look or it helps with your style of play, then really their is nothing anyone here can say to change you mind. I also think they look stupid. Except if it has a Shrike conversion upper on it, then it looks okayish... |

box mags have nothing to do with your mechbox. it's plain use that will cause failure and you can say that about any gun.
i ran an electric winding cmag at a few games, it's really fun. plus they actually exist if you're worried about realism. YouTube - Noveske Rifleworks - N4 10.5" CQB, 300 rd dump

If you like it,go for it.It's all in what you want on your unit! It's a Personal thing as to how you want it to look. The more rnd's you put through your unit causes more wear & tear, simple as that, but thats just me!
