super noob with some modding questions

OK so i am just getting into airsoft and had a couple of questions regarding mods.
i have my main weapon,a VSR-10 Marui Clone, and also i have somewhat ok DPMS A17 R.I.S. C that i got from SIR.
i realy want to get my rifle shooting faster and straiter, but being new to airsoft i realy have no exp with modding so i was wondering if NE one knows of a realy easy step by step instructional guide, also some thought on the different parts i can put in it to help er' out.
as for the DPMS, it was like $150 at SIR so i dont want to just toss it out, i am going to painting it, but is there anything i can do to get it running faster, and or stronger?

I may be wrong as I'm new to upgrading too, but as far as I know, painting a gun doesn't make it faster... :banghead:

I was told running naked AND with a knife makes you run super fast!

I don't know about the naked part, but the knife is true. FPS Doug said so himself...

Im trying out the sticker route...heard some guys use it on there cars, and made them super fast!
Im sure that will cross over great to my AEG!

well for the DPMS A17 R.I.S.really has no up grades for it at all but your VSR-10 Marui Clone has some potential

You may be onto something. The lightning-bolt stickers that come with the Guitar-Hero guitar makes me rock harder for some reason. I've tried it on and off.

Will post a review for the sticker later. maybe even the skull one =D

My band's sticker on the stock of my M15 rifle makes it more accurate.

I kinda push my gun forward each shot I take, I was told that makes the bbs fly 10 times faster out... As for more accurate shooting, give 'er some tender loving care and hold her tight, keep her warm at night and she'll do whatever you ask... But if you got the male version I suggest you sent it back unless you're into that thing, then see Aqua

Second, what do you hope to gain by modding?
Third, do you feel that you can safely disassemble and reassemble you're AEG?

hey guys, another noob here and i have a Double Eagle M87P spetz that Im thinking of modding, when i search upgrade parts on airsplat they recommend for example that I buy full tune-up kits etc. basically i want increased FPS, can i attain this by switching to a just a tightbore barrel? what complications am I looking at regarding my gearbox etc. if i do this? what else do you suggest I change if I make this modification?

I dont really care about ROF so i wont be trying to upgrade that part of the gun, i just want it to hit harder, right now it goes through one side of a can but i want it to go through all the way.

I am comfortable taking apart the gun and putting it together so Im figuring that I need to open up the gun, unscrew the stock barrell and install the new one, but what else should i change (e.g. seals, hop-up packing etc.)

while i've got it open or is it not that necessary? btw i dont game with it so its not seeing heavy usage, jus plinking in the basement (w/covered walls)

no no you got it all wrong, its cherry bombs and other muffler accessories that make cars go faster lol
