If you have access to this forum, you'll want this for your PTW. Considering it's rarity, and it's already milled for a PTW, buy it if you can.

they go for $630 for the VIS but the price he wants is $1400-seems a little high.

that is technically legal to bring in as it is only an upper receiver.

Exporting it out of the US is another issue, though...

Luckily for the prospective buyer, this guy is Joe Private Citizen, which means it'll be alot less likely that U.S. Customs will catch that.

The price is high, but considering that you can't get VLTOR through retail channels, and this had the milling done and is a 2 minute install onto your PTW (if you're slow), it isn't a bad deal at all.

Don't forget, it comes with an M733 outer barrel, VLTOR gas block, PRI front FU, KA BUIS and flash hider. A charging handle (real or from Systema) would cost you about $40.

His price says "or best offer"!!

I did some checking with Canadian and U.S. retailers, and you can get the VIS for about $800, the gas block for $80, the PRI front site for $120, the barrel set for $220 (including inner barrel and hop-up, but in 10.5" only), BUIS for about $40, flash hider for about $40. This adds up to $1300, and you'd have to mill it yourself, or pay someone else to do it.

Remember, his price says "or best offer". You never know, you might get a decent deal on a ready-to-go unit.

Pretty uncommon and not particularly easy to get. Thanks for the find.

I wouldn't want to dremel it out. Enlarging the end to accept the fat end of the PTW cylinders sure, but the notch needs to be accurate so the gears don't go trying to tear apart the cylinder body. Also taking a dremel to something so expensive seems like a bad idea.

I have no problem doing the job myself. But many guys are would be a little leary to cut up an expensive part, even if they had the right tools.

Mainly because there are no gears on a real AR, so a small track has to be cut to accomodate the sun gear. The rear has to be enlarged just a hair to accept the PTW cylinder, as the rear collar is slightly larger than a real bolt carrier. A keyway needs to be cut in the rear of the receiver to hold the PTW cylinder and keep it from rotating, and the rear receiver pin mount needs to shaved down just a hair.

You can fit a real upper on a PTW with a small amount of work, but it will not fit at all without said work. Keeps it nice and legal for those countries with more strict firearms regulations than us (hard to believe, but they actually do exist).

Looks like it's sold now. But I guess the CNCd lowers are almost ready to go:
