He said that it was a PFC-plug firing cap gun ("model gun") in the comments.

So from what I got out of that video,

your paying almost 2.5k for a ptw and it's got a minor edge on the Marui for grouping.

Good to know, I won't be buying a PTW after seeing that..... simply not worth it when compared to the cost of a Marui.

I paid $1650.00 for my WDP Angel PB marker it tells me the time, weather and knows my b-day, tells me how it's feeling all while capable of shooting a constant 35bps with a sexy ass LCD screen in grip!

And I assure you even compared to other ego's and angels it's something to behold, it's worth every penny!

As for bragging rights and minor better grouping!? Save your $1500.00 and stick with other brands then Systema.

wow, very interesting. I would still go with the PTW though, even though its ALOT more expensive.

I would love to have a PTW for the sake of my collection and probably will own one eventually. It would be a great gun to own and shoot for fun. But seriously, from all I've seen to date, I can't see a whole lot that they offer over a nicely upgraded AEG that would cost 1/2 the price other than the fact the bolt locks back when the mag is empty. An Armalite equipped with a Pro-Win gearbox and Hurricane metal body would be just as good, IMHO, cost less to accquire, cost less to maintain, and cost less to accessorize. I may change my mind when I actually get to try one out, and am looking forward to it, but I'm doubtful that it will change my mind.

And being a noob, I could have a PTW or a Kraken, and I will suck just as bad.

You got to take into account that most PTWs came with (at one point) a crappy barrel ...something like 6.1.. '08s come with tighter barrels.

But again, both platforms have serious advantages/disadvantages. Though, for the price, you'd expect the PTW to be alot better. Mainly in the mag, and hop-up dep't.

Overly complex mags FTL!

interesting point. i consider angels and egos the PTW of paintball, which is why i went the way of TM (for paintball) and got a Tippmann. Now THAT is a beast of a gun

Have you ever opened it up? Lets say, I'd rather not go through that experience EVER again.

The way the "bolt release" works on the PTW is when you've depleted the magazine, a little tab on the follower makes contact with a pivoting arm, which makes contact with another arm that moves the bolt catch out of position, killing the circuit.

If something causes your mag's follower to come out of place.. you'll have to take your mag apart... (which is 100x harder than conventional AEGs)... which is pretty crappy if you have to do it on the field....

I'd love to see a simpler system... Seriously. It's the one thing that makes me kinda want to go back to AEGs.. I miss having that one little twist off cap, that pops right out, and gives ya instant access to the spring/follower (STAR low caps)...

The TM did WAY better against the PTW then people like Ronan would make you expect, seriously. I'm kinda surprised.
